Here at Complete Kitchen & Bath, we provide a number of services to assist our clients with the design of their kitchen or bathroom, and one essential process is stone fabrication. This process allows us to custom-make countertops of any material you choose from our selection to complete the look and functionality of your kitchen or bathroom. We take this process very seriously and always work hard to ensure every step is completed to perfection for your complete satisfaction. Many people are curious about what stone fabrication involves, and we’re happy to provide some insight into the process!
Here are general guidelines for what is involved with our stone fabrication process.
- Selection of materials: Before we begin the actual stone fabrication process, you need to select the material for your countertop. We have a wide variety of materials and colors to choose from, and we can offer any information you need to help you make your final decision. Once you have chosen your material, we will thoroughly inspect the slab to check for any flaws in the stone.
- Custom templating: The next step of stone fabrication is creating a template that is customized according to the specific dimensions you need for your countertops. This templating process requires absolute precision to ensure the countertops will fit perfectly in your home and look just the way you want them to.
- Cutting: Once the template is finished, our expert crew uses the template along with a water jet or bridge saw to cut the stone for your countertops, including any necessary holes for sinks and faucets.
- Polishing: Once the stone has been cut according to the template, it is polished to make it smooth for your use in the kitchen.
- Sealing: The final part of stone fabrication is sealing your stone countertops with a protective seal to prevent stains and scratches over time.
